J'Adore VoxBox Review

A few weeks ago I was offered the opportunity from Influenster to test out the J'Adore VoxBox. A VoxBox is a box of samples sent out from Influenster and partnering companies to try and review their products. AKA the mothership of all things awesome!

My J'Adore VoxBox was filled to the brim with goodies! Inside was John Frieda 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray, a bag of Hershey's Kisses, 4 Red Rose Tea samples, Boots and Botanics Clay Mask, KISS Looks So Natural Eyelashes, and Vaseline Men's Spray Lotion.

Hershey's Kisses:
I'll start with the product that needs no words. Hershey's Kisses are the bomb.com and there is no limit what you can do with them! VERDICT: KEEP

Boots and Botanics Clay Mask:
I had fun with this product. Although I actually looked like Jim Carrey in the Mask when I had it on. (Smokinnnn') It worked really good. My face was instantly softer and just FELT better. The only issue I had is this stuff is super runny until it dries. VERDICT: Keep. Every girl needs a spa product in their life.

KISS Looks So Natural Eyelashes:
After 27 years I finally tried eyelashes. These were perfect! They weren't porn star lashes, they fit perfect and they were fairly easy to get on. I just need a little more practice to be a lash professional! VERDICT: Keep. I'm a sucker for long eyelashes!

Red Rose Simply Indulgant Tea:
Man oh man this was some good tea. VERDICT: KEEP KEEP KEEP! It's available in KCUPS AS WELL! Yay!

John Frieda Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray:
Ok this stuff works. Period. This is a miracle in a bottle! I didn't even use my hair straightener when I got out of the shower. Verdict: You already know! KEEP!

Vaseline Men's Spray N Go Lotion Fast Absorbing:
Influenster threw this one in here for my darling fiancé. He works outside A LOT so he's dry and cracked all over. He said that it works pretty good, smells great, and is not greasy. Plus it's super easy to put on. His Verdict: Yes, he's keeping it!

J'Adore VoxBox overview:
This box was amazing and none of these products disappointed! All of these products will be purchased again when we run out. I am so thankful I was able to test these products for Influenster!

First Time With Fake Eyelashes!

Ok so I received some Kiss Looks So Natural false eyelashes in my J'Adore Vox Box from Influenster. I have never worn lashes a day in my life so I was a little bit nervous.

I have always wanted to try fake eyelashes because my real lashes a blonde and baby fine. To achieve a full lash look I apply about 123456789 coats of mascara (ok, not that much, but pretty close!

The instructions said trim if needed but I have some big ol eyes so trimming was not necessary.

I applied the adhesive per instructions and waited for it to dry. I then laid my fake eyelash along my original lash line. And WALLA!

Crooked yet full pretty lashes! The technique was simple. I personally just need some practice applying. I do like them very much though!

House Party! Marc Jacobs style!

First of all let me say that I am a member of Crowdtap and I was chosen to host a Marc Jacobs Perfume party and compensated for my participation. The views and opinions are my own.

It's Saturday. Decorations are set up. Samples are ready to give out. Snacks are prepared. We are ready to party down!

The guests started to arrive. Our party was in full swing. We smelled, we laughed, we talked, we sprayed again. We talked girl stuff. We made daisy chains. Well, we attempted to make daisy chains. It was a big fail.

The party was a success and I got some amazing product into the hands of some impressed customers. And we had fun! That was the most important part!

Thank you Marc Jacobs and Crowdtap for allowing me to host this party! I can't wait until my next opportunity!

The Best Tea! EVER!

I received this product complimentary from Influenster in my J'Adore VoxBox. All opinions are my own.

Of all the items in my J'Adore VoxBox, this one I was a little reluctant to try. I've recently started trying different teas, and honestly I haven't found one yet that tasted that great. But it is my solemn duty to try this product and honestly give feedback so I sucked it up.

I mentally prepared myself to have an open mind as my tea kettle started whistling. This was the moment of truth. I poured my cup, let it steep and cool a bit and took a sip. And the shock began. This tea was absolutely amazing! There was no horrible aftertaste like other teas I had tried. It was incredible! I have definitely found my new favorite tea.

The instructions said you could prepare it with milk as well but I have to work my way to be that brave. But other than that it was a very smooth, great tasting tea! Oh and next month when I FINALLY get my very coveted Keurig I will have this tea in K-CUPS! Yes, yes, YES!

Final Grade: A++++++++++ If you are looking for a good hot tea and have been discouraged with other brands, then you absolutely need to try Red Rose Tea!

Tone Petal Soft Body Wash = Absolutely Heavenly

Let me start first by saying that I am a BZZAgent. This product was provided to me free of charge and the opinions are my own.

One of the most exciting highlights of my week was receiving my BZZKit in the mail and in it included the new Tone Petal Soft in Pink Peony and Rose Oil body wash! As you may know by now, I'm a sucker for all things "smell good" and bath time is pretty much my only alone time so I'm trying to get the absolute most out of it. So I was beyond excited to try this product!

I'm just going to get straight to the point. This body wash is absolutely amazing. It smells amazing, it feels AMAZING! I honestly have never used a body wash that not only smelled great, but left me feeling great as well; it's always one or the other, but never both! So that is definitely a big plus!

It may be a personal preference, but I love a good lather. I like to see my soap on me. And this body wash lathered BEAUTIFULLY!

So not only does it smell great, feels great, and lathers wonderfully; the smell is also very noticeable! My darling husband noticed the smell when I got out of the bath! And men don't usually notice anything!

The Verdict and the Final Grade:
If you want your bath to feel as relaxing as spa time, then Tone Petal Soft body wash is an excellent choice.
Final grade? A+++! This is definitely a keeper!

Scentsy...SPIRIT!

Ok, I've been selling Scentsy for 4 months now. And for the past month I was getting discouraged. I can't make sales, I can't book parties, what am I doing wrong? Well I decided to attend Scentsy's Spring Sprint 2014 (a big, huge event!) to see if I could get any inspiration. And boy, did I!

The main thing I got from Spring Sprint was to remind myself why I got into this business. I wanted to have fun, and I wanted a consultant. And money would be awesome too! So with that I got into the Scentsy "spirit". (I equate the "Scentsy Spirit" to a religious youth revival. It is contagious and it gets inside you! Whoo!) I felt energized! I felt as excited as the day I signed up to be a consultant! I needed this! Now I have ideas and I want to grow and yes, yes, YES!!!

Even on the drive home I came up with even more ideas! And I planned a goal. What is a better inspiration to grow your business and make money other than DISNEYLAND? Yes, my goal is to take my daughter to Disneyland! And I can make it happen because Scentsy sells and I am going to sell the yell out of it!

Gooooo Scentsy!

Nûby Chewbies Teether: A small miracle

I won this product in a giveaway. The views expressed here are my own.

So the other day I just so happened to enter a Twitter giveaway for a Nûby Teether. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to win but I did! Now, my daughter is 4 months old so we are exploring teethers, although she is not teething just yet so I was pretty excited about trying this one out. My excitement paid off!

As soon as the envelope arrived (not even a week after I won! Nûby, you rock!) I think my daughter sensed it was for her. She smiled in excitement as I opened the envelope and when I pulled the Nûby Chewbies Teether out it was in an egg shaped container (another plus Nûby! The Easter bunny will be pleased with this idea!) and very cute! It reminded me of a little flower!

I barely had it even long enough to sanitize so that's about all I can tell you about the appearance. After is was sanitized Carlie grabbed it and it's been in her mouth every since. So I'm not sure if it's the soothing soft bristles or the comfort of it in her hand, but my little girl is sold! Nûby, you have pleased the pickiest girl in the world, and for that I am forever grateful.

Parents, if you are in the market for a new teether that your child is guaranteed to love; then you want the Nûby Chewbies Teether. Your baby will thank you.

Glade Plugins. Customizable!

First of all let me say I am a BzzAgent. This Glade Customizables Scented Oil Plugin Starter Kit was provided to me free of charge. The opinions and views are my own.

"Who doesn’t love breezy summer afternoons? The refreshing scent of fresh laundry in perfect weather can take you there no matter the forecast. It’s like having a sunny day on speed dial." This was the description on Glade's website describing the scents for the Clean Linen and Sunny Days Plugins Customizable Scented Oil. Sounds promising, but after the not so great experience with Glade Wax Melts I wasn't sold.

The way this product works is similar to the original Plugin, only this one uses two different oils and alternates between the two; switching to a a different scent each day, offering up to 60 days of fragrance. As stated on my previous post, I'm a sucker for all things smell good. So if this works like it says it does the we got us a winner.

I picked up the starter kit. The Clean Linen and Sunny Days set was the only one available where I shop. This would not have been my first choice scents, but beggars can't be choosers. When I got the kit home and out of the package I noticed that the cover felt more flimsy than it looked. Not a big deal.

Once I had the Plugin in the outlet and warming, I smelled clean laundry almost instantly. And it actually smelled wonderful! And the next day the "Sunny Days" smelled just as good! I was pleasantly surprised! And now a week later I still smell it!

The Verdict and The Grade:

After a week of using the Glade Customizables Scented Oil Plugin, it still smells just aaas good as the day I plugged it in. My biggest problem with the product is if you have a large living room, you're going to need more than one. The verdict? Keep. It's going to go great in the guest bathroom!

The final grade is a B. The cover could use improvements and it would be great if it covered more square footage. Other than that is an innovative product!

Glade Wax Melts: Not a Substitute

First of all I will say that I am a BzzAgent. The product was provided free of charge to me and the opinions and views are my own.

Ok I'm addicted to all things smell good. Scented candles, potpourri, scented wax, sprays; you name it, I've used it. There is nothing I love more than a yummy smelling house. So when I was provided the opportunity to test out Glade Wax Melts I was kind of excited.

I chose the Apple Cinnamon melts. Spicy scents, especially cinnamon, seem to stand out the most to me. And to properly test out the product I needed to find a super strong scent.

Flash forward to when I get home with the product, I cleaned out my wax warmers and prepared myself for the cinnamony goodness that was about to fill my house. I mean if it smells anything like the package it is going to be heavenly. I placed a wax cube in each of my warmers and waited in anticipation.

And I waited. And waited. And waited. Nothing. I left the house for a bit. I came back and still nothing. What gives?! I checked out my warmers. The wax was completely melted and only then, standing right above the warmer could I even faintly smell it.

This was ridiculous! How could something smell so beautifully in a package be so "scentless" while warmed? After two days I gave up and discarded the wax and replaced it with my Scentsy wax. Oh and the residue it left in my warmer? Yeah... Nasty.

If you are looking for something to make your house smell as good as Scentsy then steer clear of Glade Wax Melts. Glade makes good spray, but they should really skip out on the wax.

The Grade and Verdict:

Glade Wax Melts get an F grade. Because it was a big FAIL. My verdict: Your drawer will smell great if you throw extra melts in there, but that is about it. Don't waste $3.00 of your hard earned dollars on this product because it would be exactly that: a big waste. This will not be a substitute for the wax you already use.

Pinterest Project: DIY Valentine's Day Conversation Heart Wreath

Ahhh Pinterest strikes my fancy AGAIN! Browsing my night away (and I wonder why I have "insomnia") I found this cute, creative wreath:

So I thought "Looks simple enough!" And decided to give it a go. The pin called for a cardboard box, a push pin, fabric, ribbon, hot glue, and conversation hearts. I myself used a cardboard box, a big valentines heart filled with candy for a stencil (I can't freehand) a small valentines heart filled with candy for a stencil, red acrylic paint, hot glue, gift ribbon, and a premade gift bow.

I traced the hearts onto the cardboard box with a sharpie and started cutting. This was not a simple task. It was very hard to cut into the thick cardboard with scissors and I had to use a sharp kitchen knife for the middle. This was the hardest part.

So when I finally got it cut out and trimmed, I painted it with acrylic paint.

Once you get the painting done, just find something else to do while it dries. I personally boiled chicken.

The next part was the most time consuming. Hot glueing every single heart onto the painted cardboard.

From there, per instructions, I tied the wrapping ribbon to make a loop to hand the heart on my wreath hanger. Now the instructions simply say push the pin in the cardboard. This did not work. I had to triple glue the pin in the back to keep it from ripping out.

I then hot glued my premade bow onto the front. Now here is the finished product:

Does it look like the picture? No not even close. It was inspired by the picture lol! So here is my completed wreath on my door. It was time consuming, I burnt my fingertips off with hot glue, but I think it looks cute!
